The rumours making the rounds on the media over some days now about how and 

why the labour party's presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi might be disqualified from the 2023 presidential race have reached a stage where it must be rejected by Nigerians because it's not true in anyway.

This was mentioned in a special exclusive interview chart with Rev Felix Johnson Osakwe who happens to be the authentic presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement NRM in his country home in Delta State.

Our correspondent Isaac Newton cornered Osakwe for the interview in Delta while he as back home to address a grassroot campaign gathering in his honor as a son of the soul who has always brought out his kings men to national politics and development.

Felix Osakwe opened up when he was asked the reason why NRM sued Peter Obi to court on a dual citizenship:

QUESTION:

. Why did your party, the NRM have to sue Peter Obi to court:

OSAKWE: 

Sorry please, sue who ?

We never sued anybody to court for your information. 

We don't have any issue with the presidential candidate of the labour party at anything point in time mad we don't think Peter Obi is an individual that will want to have issues with other political party.

Moreover it's not in the character of my person to go around suing people or any other political party.

As you can see right here am back home in honour of my people and campaign is going on across Nigeria.

We are finding ways to get Nigeria out of the mess we have found ourselves as a nation so it's even the wrongest of all times to go to court for whatever issues with any presidential candidate.

The time for court case against another candidate have passed for now we are focused on campaigns and that we have resolved to continue to do till election day comes.

QUESTION:

But there's a suit in court to be heard by a court in Abuja that the NRM is asking the court to disqualify Peter Obi from contesting the 2023 presidential elections and it is led by the NRM.

OSAKWE:

Let me tell you something you don't know about our politics. 

All these are distractions from the enemies of Nigeria.

The NRM can never go to court on challenging the legitimacy of any candidate when elections are already here. 

The NRM is not a political party that bathes with the waters of blackmail.

The NRM is a political force that understands real politics of development and not politics is hatred.

It is not in our character to engage in such kinds of stuff.

The NRM is a focused political party that means we'll for Nigeria and will never waste it's time in getting involved in whatever nonesense.

I personally have a very good relationship with all the presidential candidates with Peter Obi inclusive as a person because we all signed the peace accord deal and if there's anything between us we are civilized enough to handle things out as men who are in the same mission to return Nigeria to greatness although using two different platforms.

Anybody doing well in the area of human capital development can be given the honor of an honorary citizenship and that doesn't stop anyone from contesting for the presidency of Nigeria which is his home country.

QUESTION:

So what did your party do when they saw the publication of the court case on the media.

OSAKWE:

Well like you said we are just hearing it from you now and we are sure that the matter doesn't hold any value because we in the NRM did not institute any case against the labour party presidential candidate in the person of Peter Obi so we shall put up a disclaimer on such case.

QUESTION:

Sir if you look at the case details you will find out that the case was instituted by one Mazi Okwdili who is said to be a former Presidential Aspirant of the NRM MD others. 

OSAKWE:

You see, I haven't seeing the case file or read any publications to know who took Peter Obi to court, however that is very laughable honestly. 

It's a blackmail and it has no value at all.

How can some individual cue on behalf of great party NRM with 824 candidates, sue Peter Obi without our knowledge? 

That is called impersonation and the law must caught up with them all.

It is illegal to do such a thing using the name of the NRM.

If they think Peter Obi should be disqualified as a presidential candidate they can do their court suing as individuals and not as the NRM for crying out loud.

NRM didn't take Peter Obi to court. We would not do such a thing because we are too busy for such kind of business of cheap blackmail.

The law will caught up with them, they don't have the legal rights to use in the name of NRM to sue anyone as far as the law is concerned. 

I believe that such should not arise from persons who are not the leadership of the NRM at the moment.

For me I will like to state here very clearly that Peter Obi and the labour party should be rest ensured that the NRM and it's leadership did not sure him at any point in time and will not because it's not in our character as a party to waste time in issues that is already a list battle.

I state here again, infact this is an official disclaimer from me as the presidential candidate of the NRM to the world. 

People Shouldn't look back to the actions carried out by disgruntled elements of disunity, people with questionable characters should not be allowed to have a voice in our politics so the right people can end up in power to help Nigeria return democracy in its fullest form for the good of our democracy and people.

NRM and the presidential candidate Felix Johnson Osakwe never and will not ask any court to disqualify Peter Obi.
